This section of the manifest
details the all Scietific positions. The Science staff
are responsible for overseeing scientific investigations
and providing the Commanding Officer with pertinent data
that assists him in making informed command decisions. Life Sciences involves Bionics, Botany, Ecology, Exobiology, Genetics, and Zoology. This department works in conjunction with the Medical Sciences Department. Stellar Sciences involves Stellar Cartography, Astrogation (Starship Navigation), Astronautics (Starship Engineering), Astronomy, and Astrophysics as well as planetary sciences such as Geology, Hydrology, and Meteorology.
