2374 - present - Assigned to the USS Wraith as Assistant Helm Officer

Jarus grew up during the final two decades of the Cardassian occupation of Bajor. Both of his parents were killed when they were accused of harboring resistance members. He was adopted by a man name Kanul, who was latter killed the last day of the occupation, 1 year after Jarus had escaped bajor to the Federation.

Jarus lived for 3 years in San Francisco, until 2369 when he entered Starfleet academy. Soon after he entered, he discovered he had a talent for piloting. He made few friends here, for he spent more time in his studies than socializing. The one friend he spent most of his socializing time with was a Thollian cadet named C'bak. The two finished neck in neck in most of their piloting classes. During this time, C'bok taught Jarus some basic Thollian. In their second year together in the Academy, they attempted a dangerous maneuver known as the two ship starfire as a way to boost their marks at the end of the semester. Something went wrong during the maneuver and C'bok's ship ended up crashing in the Terran system's asteroid belt. Due to certain intervention by an Admiral for Jarus, he was not kicked out of the Acadamy, nor did he have to repeat the year. The Admiral's name remains anonymous for unknown reasons. Jarus's self induced anti-socialization was reinforced by this event, and he plunged head long into his studies and avoided all attempts at friendship by other cadets. Because of this plunge into his studies, he passed at the head of all of his classes. Jarus graduated Starfleet Acadamy in 2373. Immediately after he graduated, he began taking classes on Advanced Ship Piloting. Once again he plunged head long into his studies and passed second in his class, surpassed only by another cadet named Maria Calatoir.

Jarus tends to be quiet when in a social setting, and tries to keep his mind on his work. Whenever a problem is set before him, he can usually find a unique way to solve it, though this does not mean he always secedes. He has a true hatred for Cardasians, but has learned to keep his cool when faced with them. His one true love in the galaxy is piloting, weather it is a shuttle or some other type of ship. He is a quick learner and is always ready to place a suggestion in, even when not asked for it. He is the only person in Starfleet Academy history to take down two klingon battle cruisers and heavily damage the third before being defeated in the Kobyoshi Maru simulation.
